PORTLAND - An Eagle Point man faces charges for allegedly hiding a loaded gun in a planter at the Portland International Airport. Soren Muir Johnson, 69, reportedly asked TSA screeners at the security checkpoint on June 24 what he should do with his firearm and he was instructed to go to the ticket counter, according to Steve Johnson with the Port of Portland. PORTLAND -- Thieves were caught on camera trying to use a stolen credit card at a Southeast Portland Fred Meyer. Police released surveillance photos, hoping the public would help them catch the couple. They stole the credit card and some jewelry from a Portland home last month, said Sgt. Pete Simpson. Anyone who recognizes the couple is asked to call Portland police.

PORTLAND - A presenter from Voodoo Doughnuts will not be invited back to Career Day at Molalla River Middle School after officials said he used "inappropriate language" to a group of 30 students Thursday.
